I Need You to Slow Me Down

This post is from my time off from work, visiting family and friends. More specific, My old Dance Group. They have been rehearsing for the summer 3 awesome choreographies and here are some shots of the rehearsal.

The most meaningful of them is a contemporary piece, danced to Emmy Rossum´s Slow Me Down. Every word the song speaks reflects the hectic lifes most of us have and the need to just stop, breathe and  realize how beautiful life can be if we only slow down.

Rushing and racing
and running in circles

Moving so fast, I'm forgetting my purpose
Blur of the traffic is sending me spinning
Getting nowhere

My head and my heart are colliding, chaotic
Pace of the world
I just wish I could stop it

Try to appear like I've got it together
I'm falling apart

Save me
Somebody take my hand, and lead me
Slow me down
Don't let love pass me by
Just show me how
'Cause I'm ready to fall

Slow me down
Don't let me live a lie
Before my life flys by
I need you to slow me
down

Sometimes I fear that I might dissapear
In the blur of fast forward I faulter again
Forgetting to breathe, I need to sleep
I'm getting nowhere

All that I've missed I see in the reflection
Passed me while I wasn't paying attention
Tired of rushing, racing and running
I'm falling apart

Tell me
Oh won't you take my hand and lead me
Slow me down
Don't let love pass me by Just show me how
'Cause I'm ready to fall

Don't let me live a lie
Before my life flys by
I need you to slow me down

Just show me
I need you to slow me down

The noise of the world is getting me caught up
Chasing the clock and I wish I could stop it

Just need to breathe, somebody please
Slow me down

Martin Luther King´s Day Marade at Denver

It has been a while since my last entry. Life has been a little hectic in the last months but the time has come for a new post. This time I want to take you to Beautiful Denver, CO. in a very special day for the people of the United States.

Up With People was invited to participate in a MARADE= March+Parade. We had the chance to engage in conversations with different people and organizations, all of them having one main idea: Diversity and Inclusion.

I hope you enjoy!

San Diego

First of all I need to say I´m not following an order on the events I post on my blog, I just feel like I need to post this pictures first instead of more snow shots. With that said...Welcome to San Diego!!

I had the chance to visit the Sunny city last april 4th. The same day, the mexican city of Mexicali was hit by a 7.2 earthquake. Mexicali is where I´m currently established so you can imagine how lucky I feel about not being there that day. All my blessings and best wishes to all the victims of the earthquake.

I hope you enjoy San Diego the way I did.

Just passed a Border Patrol car. 3 americans and a mexican

Breckenridge and the Beautiful Rockies

Welcome to Colorado

The First delivery of this blogging experience is the beautiful Colorado. I had the chance to visit Denver, CO. last January 2010, and automatically fell in love with the view of the Rockies and the contrast it creates with downtown Denver.

The next shots, however, are from a little sky town up in the mountains called Breckenridge. Thanks to Sam and Nathan for making my stay in CO a great experience and showing me around town!!

Breckenridge: A great place for skying and snowboarding!

And for eating and shopping as well.

I just love finding Mexican stuff abroad!

This is what a cell phone store uses to get our attention
